The ATFL eggs look something like the house sparrow eggs. They are brown
with dark brown splotches on them. I do have some pictures of them but am
unable to find them at this time. I got a great shot of a female ATFL today
and will send it to the list later.

Subject: [Bluebird-babble] Ash-throated Flycatcher question

Hi

Can someone describe the eggs of Ash-throated Flycatcher for me. The pair
that built in my new box laid two eggs and then stopped and became scarce.
The eggs in the nest could belong to cowbirds!

My young Mtn Bluebirds fledged 4 young day before yesterday and left one
infertile egg in the nest. I removed the old nest yesterday and the female
appears to be starting a new nest in the same box today.

My Violet-green Swallows have finally begun laying: there are three eggs in
the nest today.

Thanks

Pat Gould
