Thanks for sharing this info.  I have heard for several years now that there is resident group of Mt. Bluebirds in southwest Colorado.  Is this a usual group for you each year?  Sue, Centennial

  I live about 8 mi ssw of Florence at 6100 ft in Pinyon-Juniper country.  All this winter I have had a flock of Mountain Bluebirds feeding on this years abundant juniper berry crop - the flock has varied from 25 to 80 birds.  This flock departed sometime shortly after February first so I assume they should be showing up farther north by now.  Since Feb 1 I have only seen an occasional pair within a five mile radius of my property.
