 Front Range Birding Co. Bird Walk Series



Greetings,

Please join us this Saturday August 25th at 8 AM for a free bird walk in
beautiful Waterton Canyon at the base of Chatfield State Park. Naturalist
Alison Kondler will lead the easy flat walk thru the rich riparian area
know for many bird species .

 Chatfield State Park Open Space and Waterton Canyon wet lands
Our walk will start from the Audubon Society of Greater Denver at
Chatfield State Park. Alison Kondler, a well known birder and naturalist
who leads birdwalks for the Denver Field Ornithologists and for
Roxsborough State Park, will be our guide. She is an expert in Colorado
birds and their behavior.



The walk will begin at 8 AM and will end at approximately 11 AM. You will
need to bring binoculars, water, and sun protection. Also long pants and a
snack are recommended.



The walk should produce the opportunity to view a wide variety of bird
species from Bald Eagles to Warblers. Alison lead our first walk last
month in Roxsborough State Park and had rave reviews for her bird and
wildlife knowledge and expertise.



The weather should be great. Let's go birding!





Where & When



Saturday, August 25th



8 AM till 11 AM



Audubon Society of Greater Denver at Chatfield State Park. Take Hwy 121
(Wadsworth) exit from C-470.



Go 4 miles south on Hwy 121 to Waterton Road.





Turn left on Waterton Road and then an immediate left into the Audubon
Society of Greater Denver Chatfield State Park facility.



Meet our group at the historic stone farm house next to the parking lot.
