Thanks to those of you that have already volunteered as Audubon Stewards
at the nature center. We are switching from Wednesdays to Thursdays to
include a community service crew from Jefferson County. Please let me know
if you can help any Thursday from now through September!

Audubon Center Stewards Needed!

We have a beautiful nature center that is a wonderful outdoor learning lab
for young children, families and adults of all ages. Over 10,000 school
kids have visited the Audubon Center as part of their environmental
education program.  Please be a part of maintaining the facilities,
gardens and trails for the next 10,000 kids!

Join the crew on THURSDAY mornings to care for the Audubon Center, our
native gardens and trails. We will have a service project every THURSDAY
morning for the rest of the summer, starting with July 18 from 8:30am –
noon. Projects include:

Weed Warriors – Save our native gardens from the invasion of noxious
weeds. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s go to do it.

Trails & site – Maintaining / fixing drainage on trails and around buildings.

Farmhouse – Painting stairway and posts in classroom.

Bring work gloves, water bottle, loads of energy and a friend if you can!
Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with your comrades after the work is done
each morning.

RSVP to Susan with the dates that you can help with & if you have a
preference on which projects you want to work on.
