<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />This is a special message to all of those organizations that do good things for our <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Denver community, and that have in the past asked the Great Harvest Bread Co. of Denver for help with a donation of bread and other baked goods.  We know from the work you do that you have big hearts and an eagerness to help others.  For these reasons, we are now turning to you and asking for help.
 
This Sunday, October 21, 2007, the Great Harvest Bread Co. of Denver will be open from 8:00am to 4:00pm for a very special event.  Students from Steele Elementary, University Park Elementary, and Bromwell Elementary will partner with Great Harvest for Whole Grains for Growing Brains 2007.  Students will bake and sell bread to raise some dough for the Denver Public School’s Educational Outreach Program which helps provide food, clothing, transportation, and other essentials for the homeless students in DPS.  On this Sunday, we will sell student made Honey Whole Wheat bread for $5 per loaf and 100% of the sales dollars will be donated (not the profit – 100% of every dollar taken in).  In addition, customers can choose to buy bread and donate it back to the Educational Outreach Program.  Donated bread will be distributed to the students in Denver’s homeless shelters.
 
We need your help.  The Great Harvest Bread Co. is normally closed on Sundays.  We cannot rely on the bakery’s regular customers to buy bread and raise money.  We must spread the word about this event and encourage as many people as possible to buy bread on this special day.  Please consider sending this message to anyone and everyone you know.  If your organization uses e-mail to communicate, please think about forwarding this message to your e-mail distribution list.  Also, please support our cause by purchasing bread on Sunday, October 21st.
