To everyone who cares about Jefferson County Open Space -
---------- Forwarded Message ----------
OSAC Meeting 7:00 PM, Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 - This Evening
Please forward to your email lists.
We need Open Space supporters to weigh in on this proposal which, if approved, would allow a water storage tank and a pump station to be built on publicly-owned open space.
These pumps and tank will stimulate urban development on the Mountain Backdrop.
Visit our web site at www.keepopenspaceopen.com for details of this proposal.
This evening, the Open Space Advisory Committee will meet to formally hear the proposal from developers and the City of Arvada and to hear your thoughts on this issue.
The Friends of the Foothills has taken the position, No Tanks - no pumps, no roads, no help for urban sprawl on the Mountain Backdrop and Foreground Preservation Area.
Please attend the Open Space Advisory Committee meeting this evening. Sign up to comment. Make your comments - if you agree with others who oppose, just say that (save time) AND give a quick fundamental reason, such as the need for Jeffco. to tighten the language related to open space so that no future consideration is given to using open space lands for private development. Those statements will have a great deal of impact on the committee members.
Thursday Sept. 6, 2007
7:00 PM in the Open Space Hearing Room
700 Jefferson County Parkway
Golden, CO 80401
Thanks (but no tanks),
Tom Hoffman
President
Friends of the Foothills
