The Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act is up for renewal by Congress and both National Audubon Society (NAS) and American Bird Conservancy (ABC) are working to get more congressional sponsors (this improves chances it will pass).  The Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act provides funding for many vital conservation programs, some of which help conserve the birds that migrate to and through Colorado.

ABC states, "NMBCA is an extremely effective matching grants program that coordinates and funds the conservation of Neotropical migratory birds and their habitats in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. It has a proven track record of reversing habitat loss and degradation, and of advancing innovative management and habitat restoration strategies. 
Every one tax-payer dollar from the Act leverages three from private sources. Overall, the program could leverage $60 million each year in additional funding for bird conservation!"

This can be accomplished in less than 2 minutes.  However, if you are willing to give 5 minutes to help songbirds, please some modifications to the form letter that is provided as this has more impact (ie, start with "I am a constituent of yours from  ________city.", tell them you are an avid/beginner/backyard birder and how you enjoy watching neotropical migrants).
