Hi everyone, for about 2 days this week, I had a couple green tailed
towhees.

My normally warbler-free yard continued its fall migratory bounty this
morning with some great looks at a Black-throated Gray Warbler. It was only
about 10-15' away in the aspen trees outside my kitchen window, and I got
great looks at it with both the naked eye and with my binoculars. Despite
all its flitting around, I could even see the small yellow dot between its
eye and beak. Wow!

My small Russian olive trees continue to be popular with other warblers as
well, including some Wilson's Warblers and what appears to be a Mourning
Warbler.

Some other birds around my yard over the past couple days include (in
approximated numbers) 20 Western Scrub Jays, 5 Blue Jays, 2 immature
Black-headed Grosbeaks, 25 House Finches, 8 White-crowned Sparrows, 4
Northern Flickers, 2 Downy Woodpeckers, 15 Spotted Towhees, 3 Common
Grackles, 8 Black-capped Chickadees, 1 Mountain Chickadee, 5 White-breasted
Nuthatches, 1 Loggerhead Shrike, 4 Great-horned Owls, 6 Mourning Doves, and
3 Red-tailed Hawks.

Fall is great!!!
