[Douglbirds] First bear visit

Last night we had our first visit this season from a bear. Either he wasn't too hungry or perhaps a young one. We didn't actually see it, just the results of bird feeders torn down. Other than bringing them all in at night, any suggestions???  Also, any suggestions to keep the squirrels from eating all our bird feed?
