[Douglbirds] First bear visit

At our house, we blame the raccoons for dumping the bird feeders on the ground. This happens when we forget to bring them in for the night. Bird feeders probably do attract bears, so I recommend bringing them in each night (kind of a pain).

However one of our neighbors thinks that yesterday, late afternoon, a bear raided their outdoor patio and mangled the grill, so bears have come out and started to roam around.
