I observed White-throated Swifts nesting at Rock Park in Castle Rock
last summer, so I will stop by there in the next few days and report
back on their presence or absence.

I've been asked by three DouglBirds subscribers if my White-throated
Swift sighting is earlier than usual.
I checked my records, and I've observed my first of that species as
early as March 13 in previous years, and always above the Castlewood
area canyons.
I also saw a Eurasian Collared Dove at Hidden Mesa Open Space today.
I've heard and read from others of you that you're seeing them; today's
was my first sighting in Franktown.
