[Douglbirds] Spring Count -- Castlewood Canyon

On Sunday, May 13, Denver Field Ornithologists have their annual Spring Count at Castlewood Canyon State Park. They invite  you to join Randy Lentz, the leader (a very fine naturalist) for all or part of the day. You don't have to sign up in advance, just show up at the meeting place with binoculars, sunscreen, water, hiking boots, layers of clothing (in case the sun comes out), and lunch. And bird book. And you don't have to rank as an advanced or even intermediate birder.

                Meet at 0630 at old entrance to CCNP. From CO 86, 0.5 miles west of Franktown, turn south on Castlewood Canyon Road, go south two miles to entrance. State Parks pass required.
