On Walker Road, headed for the pit, we saw a very active female Orchard Oriole along the fence line. She moved from bush to bush, fence line to fence line, across the road, then east towards Cherry Creek.

We also saw lots of Bobolinks at the Winkler Ranch, south of the park on Castlewood Canyon Road (maybe a half dozen) actively singing. They seem closer to the road than those we have seen in past years, though a scope makes it easier to see them.

We heard one Ovenbird in the Park, a bit beyond the first stream crossing after the Homestead parking lot.
