My husband and I hiked up Carpenter Peak in Roxborough State Park yesterday morning and were treated with seeing at least 9 Red-breasted Nuthatches. I have rarely seen these and never so many in a single trip. There were also a few White-breasted Nuthatches, but saw more of the red-breasted. Also, saw several Dark-eyed Juncos which I have not seen down around my house yet this year. Otherwise, just the usual:
Spotted Towhee
American Robin
Lesser Goldfinch
House Finch
Western Scrub Jay
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Black-capped Chickadee
Northern Flicker
Downy Woodpecker
Broad-tailed Hummingbird
Black-headed Grosbeak
Empidonax flycatcher
