[Douglbirds] Meadowlarks

In our neigborhood, the Meadowlarks showed up on March 15, and have sung from the fields ever since. I even heard four one morning last week.

In our Atlas block that includes the Hidden Mesa Open Space by the Grange (off Colo. 83), we heard a couple earlier this week. Last year, on April 3, we counted 16 -- nowhere near as many as this week. 

Maybe they simply haven't gotten as vocal yet -- "spring" seems like a loose term to use lately.
