Subject: [Douglbirds] Western Bluebird
A Western Bluebird called his loud flight call and flew into a pine on
Whitetail Drive (just off the northern end of Deerfield Road in Franktown)
this morning. He perched briefly and then flew back the way he'd come,
which was south.
Are any of you seeing Western or Mountain bluebirds in Douglas or Elbert
counties?
Saw-whet and Great Horned owls are over here. The Cassin's Finches and
large wintering Dark-eyed Junco population have started to disperse.
Thanks,
Karen Metz
