[Douglbirds] chukar

Hi!  Sadly, the second-I-have-ever-seen-at-my-house chukar just smashed into
the windows and broke its beautiful neck.  Has someone been releasing these
birds into the wild in the Larkspur area?  They seem lost and disoriented
down here.  Any idea from where they are coming?  Has anyone else seen them?
