Peregrines do come through in migration**. Prairie Falcons are present in
the CCSP area and at least one nest is being monitored.
(Dave, have you been seeing falcons?)

Regarding early nesters from Dave's robin's nestling post and Hugh's earlier
bluebird post, the Great Blue Herons in CCSP's heron rookery are typically
incubating eggs in April but, as of April 30 this year, they were not incubating.
On April 19, 30-some people had watched herons breaking off pieces of
ponderosa pines and constructing nests during the park's Turkey Vulture Day.

(**If anyone does confirm Peregrines present in the area during breeding
season, or nesting Prairie Falcons or Golden Eagles, please notify the district's
CDOW manager Kris Middledorf.**)
