A forty mph steady wind from the south has brought some interesting lost birds this year.? I thought, and still think, that I had a rose throated becard pair in front of my house about a week ago in the middle of the wind storms. Also hear some songs I've never heard before, although the birds remain out of sight. Also some of the regular birds are not here.? Very few starlings have returned this year, but the swallows have come back under the bridges after being wiped out by Nile virus as well as more magpies are around.? Fran Shepperdson
