Hello all. Great day today in Louviers (Douglas) .Had a quick 2 Hr. walk that netted a lot of new arrivals. Along with dozens of Yellow-rumped Warblers, were f.o.s. Yellow Warblers and Black-Headed Grosbeaks. Some of the more uncommon were Swainson's Thrush, Northern Mockingbird, and for the second time for Louviers, a pair of Black and White Warblers. A new town bird for me, was 8 Wilson's Phalarope feeding on the sewage lagoon. What a difference a week makes in terms of variety of birds. If anyone is interested, they can join Kirk Huffstater and me next Sunday, May 16th, for our annual Louviers Bird Walk at 7 a.m. Please mail or call me for more information and directions.
