[Douglbirds] Tail-less after icy snow

One lady Broad-tailed Hummingbird has lost several of her tail feathers -
although they are still attached to the ice that is still stuck to her rump.
I presume she got iced over last night and that her tail feathers broke off
when she left her night roost. She can fly, even with the extra weight of a
half-inch length of ice, having carried it for three hours already this
morning.
