I recall someone (?Hugh & Urling?) wrote recently that they'd not seen
Lesser Goldfinches yet and I cannot recall anyone mentioning that species
since.
Lesser Goldfinches are here at my place today, along with the first
Cordilleran Flycatcher; also the first House Wren (typically a much later
arrival at my place than elsewhere in Franktown).
Lazuli Buntings arrived yesterday (ditto, HOWR comment) and one has been
sparring at a tray feeder with a much larger Black-headed Grosbeak --- and
winning.
Almost all nesting species for my ponderosa pine/scrub oak habitat are here
now - await the Western Wood-Pewee.
