Let's go looking for Mountain Finches in Park County! We will try for all three Rosy-Finches, Pine Grosbeak, Evening Grosbeak, Cassin's Finch, Red Crossbill, Canada Jay, Clark's Nutcracker, and other winter montane species. Bring lunch, snacks, and drinks. We will cover a fair amount of ground by car, but there will be minimal walking. Expect snowy, cold and icy conditions when we are out of the cars, and maybe wind, too. We will visit homes with feeders to view birds and it is great to bring a bag of sunflower seed to leave as a thank you. Restrooms at intervals. We will carpool from the meeting spot in 2 cars. We will make a plan with volunteer drivers before the trip date; riders can please be ready to offer mileage reimbursement.
