Event Details

PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 40 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

Who are the best animal architects? Beavers are built to build and your students will learn about the built-in tools beavers use to survive. Then explore the ponds and river, looking for signs of beavers and the wildlife that depends upon the habitats they create. Meet Dr. Aaron Hall, Senior Aquatic Ecologist for Defenders of Wildlife and learn about his work on beaver behavior and relocation, as well as check out how he uses Drone technology to help survey beaver habitat.

This event is suitable for children and is fully accessible for people with accessibility issues.
