2024 Keynote Speaker: Dr. Reesa Cornrey

Bald Eagle numbers are growing despite development pressures in Colorado’s Front Range

Bald Eagles have made a dramatic recovery from DDT-era lows. Colorado Parks and Wildlife partner with Bird Conservancy of the Rockies’ Bald Eagle Watch and many local partners to find and monitor eagle nests, and in 2020,began tagging eagles with cellular transmitters. Dr. Reesa will share an update on the research and the impacts of the urbanizing landscape of the Front Range. Join us as we learn about local breeding eagles’ home ranges, nest success rates, and potential threats.
