Event Details
This early spring trip will be along the Fountain Valley trail (2.4 mi.), which has a mild change in elevation and a partially graveled terrain. We will see year-round residents such as the Spotted Towhee and various jays, nuthatches, chickadees, and finches. We may spot a Golden Eagle or Prairie Falcon, as they breed in the park or perhaps a Say’s Phoebe, Canyon Wren, or bluebirds. Other early summer migrants may be arriving as well.
Meet at the Visitor's Center and bring water, binoculars, appropriate outdoor clothing and sun protection as needed, and snacks if desired. Scopes are optional.
