Workshop Description: Join us for a new field workshop in search of wildflower blooms and native birds in the subalpine and montane ecosystems! Let's beat the heat in the Denver-area to explore Echo Lake Park and Genesee Mountain Park in search of migrating hummingbirds, Mountain Bluebirds, and saavy sapsuckers. If birds are quiet, we will also explore blooming native wildflowers, shrubs, and trees, some of which can also be incorporated into your home landscape to provide food resources for fall migration. Pack a lunch! We will meet at Echo Lake Park near the picnic area and then finish the afternoon at Genesee (if weather allows). Specific directions and details will be provided to those registered ahead of time.
Workshop Instructors: Barbra Sobhani, Audubon Master Birder Volunteer and Colorado Native Plant Master plus Kate Hogan, Community Outreach Manager for Denver Audubon and Colorado Native Plant Master
Cost: $20 for Supporters/Donors and $25 for General Public
Accessibility: Trails are moderately flat and mostly accessible but please let us know if special accomodations are needed
