Free Webinar: 5 Community Science Opportunities in 2025

wed12feb2:00 pmwed3:00 pmFree Webinar: 5 Community Science Opportunities in 2025Want to contribute to scientific research for bird conservation this year? Come learn about 5 community science opportunities that you can join in 2025. You will learn about how you can become a raptor monitor with Hawk Watch, how you can help monitor bird strikes in downtown Denver during migration with Lights Out Denver, how you can monitor Bluebird boxes during nesting season, and more.

Event Details

Where are the birds this season? How many are there compared to years past? Are they nesting or migrating successfully?

These are the types of questions that community science observations help answer. Whether counting raptors with Hawk Watch, monitoring building strikes with Lights Out Denver, checking nest boxes for the Nestwatch, or counting birds and other species during the Great Backyard Bird Count or the City Nature Challenge; these community science initiatives are powerful and they help gather significantly more data than scientists can gather on their own. That data tells us where to focus our conservation efforts so that our resources are allocated in a way that maximizes impact for our beloved birds.

Want to be a part of one of these efforts this year? Join us for this free 1-hour webinar! Information for how to join the webinar will be sent to you via email after registration.
