PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 10 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

Join Denver Audubon for an easy morning stroll around Belmar Park in Lakewood, which features a large lake with boardwalks and viewing platforms. The park is home to a nice diversity of birds, including a variety of waterfowl, songbirds, and spring migrants. The focus of this trip is developing birding skills, including observation and identification skills. Beginners and families are welcome. Belmar Park is accessible for persons with mobility challenges; distances are short and the paths are gentle.

Enter Belmar Park by turning west on Ohio Ave. from Wadsworth Blvd. Meet at the parking lot directly east of the lake, which you can find on Google Maps by searching "Belmar Park Parking Lot." Belmar Park is also accessible by public bus. Bring your own binoculars and water, and dress in layers depending on the weather.
