Event Details

    • PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 30 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

Writing and drawing are an integral part of science. We’ll take a historic look at the different ways scientists and naturalists have observed and recorded nature. Then, using a collection of specimens or your own observations from the Nature Center, start or continue your own nature journal. Paying careful attention to the physiology of plants and animals offers insight into the relationships between them. Learn tips and tricks for creating a nature field journal; choosing a subject, what to record, drawing tips, and more. Separate classes will be taught simultaneously for younger and older students.

The suggested age for this program is 5 and up.

    • COVID Guidelines: We will follow the current guidelines for the county where the program takes place.
