Douglbirds offers a forum for people interested in birds and other wildlife of Douglas and Elbert counties to share their observations about birds and wildlife in their backyards and the natural places in the county. We welcome email messages about birds seen in the two counties. Observations, questions, and discussion of other wildlife and plants, natural history topics, identification and animal behavior are also welcome.
Our geography includes your backyard, Highlands Ranch open space, Castlewood Canyon, Walker Pit, Cherry Creek and Plum Creek greenways, city and coutny open spaces such as Gateway Mesa, Lincoln Mountain, & Spruce Mountain, Cherokee Ranch, Roxborough, Perry Park, Pike National Forest, Peaceful Valley Boy Scout Ranch, and points north, east, west, & south in the two counties.
