Tour the bird habitat gardens at the Audubon Center Public Demonstration Gardens. No need to travel far to see five wildscaped gardens created with birds in mind. Discover how each of the specialized gardens provides a different focus on the essential wildlife habitat elements of food, water, shelter, and space. Traverse through the Hummingbird, Colorado Native, Bird Bath, Bird House, and Bird Feeder Gardens at your own pace, and learn about them from experts stationed in each garden. This tour is an opportunity for birders, gardeners, and outdoor enthusiasts to gain valuable insight on plant choices that work in different landscaping conditions, the relationship between plants and birds, and the best sources for obtaining native plants for your yard. Proceeds from the event support our environmental education, community outreach, and conservation programs for all ages that provide engaging and conservation-minded content for creating wildlife habitat in our neighborhoods, schools, places of worship, and businesses.
Easy to moderate walking required on flat trails.
Sponsors: Creek Side Gardens & The Front Range Birding Company.
