- PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 20 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.
Join us as we learn how to draw birds! We will discuss foundational bird anatomy and bird identifiers, honing your observational skills, and basic drawing approaches to our favorite winged animals. All skill levels welcome! If the weather permits, we will also be spending some time outside to draw live birds in situ, so prepare to make yourself comfortable for the weather (hat, sunglasses, water bottle etc). If you have binoculars, please feel free to bring them to get a better look, though don't be concerned if you don't have any—we have a very active bird feeder and Audubon Nature Center campus.
Please bring:
– a sketchbook (preferably between 6"x9" and 11"x17")
– a graphite pencil
– eraser
– sharpener
– any of your favorite drawing supplies!
Additional recommendations:
– a set of colored pencils or water colors
– binoculars
– a hat/sunglasses
– water bottle
-
- COVID Guidelines: We will follow the current guidelines for the county where the program takes place.
