PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 10 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

This spring trip will be along the beautiful Fountain Valley trail (2.4 mile), which has a mild change in elevation and a partially graveled terrain. We will see many year-round residents such as the Spotted Towhee and Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay, nuthatches, chickadees, and finches. Possibly we will spot a Golden Eagle or Prairie Falcon, as they breed in the park, a Canyon Wren, or Mountain Bluebirds. The first summer migrants may be arriving as well, such as White-throated Swifts, swallows, and warblers.

Meet at the Visitor's Center and bring water, binoculars, appropriate outdoor clothing, and snacks if desired. Scopes are optional. For more information, please call Bea Weaver at (305) 498-5935.

Please note that this trip is not accessible for those with mobility challenges.

By registering for and attending this field trip, you agree to the following:
-You will self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms, even if you are vaccinated, and use common sense.
