Join us for a peaceful summer walk, on mostly graveled path, through the different habitats of the Fountain Valley Trail and Roxborough’s stunning red rocks. We will look and listen for the many Roxborough breeding migrants, as well as year-round residents. We could see swifts, swallows, flycatchers, bluebirds, jays, wrens, vireos, warblers, and hummingbirds, plus sparrows, goldfinches, and raptors. This year’s fledglings should also be present. This trip is for all levels of birders, and beginners are especially welcome. We will start early to avoid the heat and cover 2.4 miles with a small change in elevation.
Meeting Location: Roxborough State Park Visitor’s Center. State Parks Pass, or day pass (fee) required.
Trip Leaders: Bea Weaver, Audubon Master Birder; Ruth Gabreski, Audubon Master Birder.
