Event Details

Many grassland species should be seen, such as Lark Bunting, Cassin's Sparrow, Lark Sparrow, and Ash-throated Flycatcher. We'll hope to see Ladder-backed Woodpecker, Sora, Scaled Quail, and shorebirds. Hopefully Mississippi Kites will be in view where we'll meet in Fountain.
The ground is relatively flat at the ranch, though not level; we'll be on dirt trails, and will climb a small hill or two. The roads at the ranch typically require decent ground clearance, so if you have an SUV, please consider driving.
We'll meet at 7 a.m. at the Loaf 'N Jug in Fountain and then drive a short way to our carpool location at the Fountain Library. We will return to Fountain by 1 p.m.

Meeting Location: Loaf 'N Jug, 102 S. Santa Fe Ave., Fountain, CO 80817.

Trip Leader: Linda Hodges.
