Join Denver Audubon for an easy Sunday morning walk around Belmar Park in Lakewood, which features a large lake with boardwalks and viewing platforms. The park is home to a nice diversity of birds, and we should see a variety of songbirds, swallows, waterfowl, and fall migrants. Beginners and families are welcome. Belmar Park is accessible for persons with mobility challenges; distances are short and the paths are gentle.
Enter Belmar Park by turning west on Ohio Ave. from Wadsworth Blvd. Meet at the parking lot directly east of the lake, which you can find on Google Maps by searching "Belmar Park Parking Lot." Belmar Park is also accessible by bus. Bring your own binoculars. Contact trip leader Leslie Coleman (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions.
