PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 8 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

Let's enjoy a morning with the birds in Lair o' the Bear Park. Beginners are always welcome! This diverse habitat attracts a variety of birds. Lesser Goldfinch, Lazuli Bunting, Spotted Towhee, White-breasted Nuthatch and Steller's Jay are among those we may find. Bring binoculars, water, hat, sturdy shoes, and sunscreen. We will meet near the main trailhead sign next to the parking lot. From C470, take CO-74 west through Morrison for approx 5 miles. Look for the park entrance on the left past Idledale. Plan on a 1.6 mile walk with frequent stops. Much of the trail is flat but there are a few inclines up the hillside. For more information, please contact Natalie Vande Vuss, trip leader, at natvan11@gmail.com or 303-520-4333.

Note that this trip is not accessible for those with mobility challenges.
