Event Details

PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 10 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

We will be looking for the Colorado birds that live in the park all year, as well as summer and fall migrants. Many summer migrants may still be here but some have already left (White-throated Swifts). We may see other birds that are more common in the winter (American Tree Sparrow, Townsend's Solitaire), while listening for singing residents. Of course raptors are common in the air over Roxborough, so we will be watching for them too. All eyes are welcome!

Roxborough State Park has an entry fee if you do not have a pass. Bring sun protection, water, snacks if desired, and binoculars. Meet at the visitor center.

Trip leaders will be Bea Weaver and Ruth Gabreski. For more information, please call Bea Weaver at (305) 498-5935.

Please note that this trip is not accessible for those with mobility challenges.

By registering for and attending this field trip, you agree to the following:
-You will self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms, even if you are vaccinated, and use common sense.
