Periodically, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service identifies a set of migratory birds that warrant increased conservation attention. The list includes not only the continental United States but also lands and waters of states, commonwealths, territories, and other affiliations in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean. Brad will discuss the statutory origins of the list, the mechanics if assessing conservation status, and the resultant bird taxa considered as "Birds of Conservation Concern." Beyond just presenting the list, he will discuss ongoing and emerging efforts to improve the conservation status of migratory birds within our region and across the hemisphere. Lastly, he will present an expanded list of suggested ways you can help the conservation of birds. Note that the Tasting Room at the Farm House Restaurant at Breckenridge Brewery is ADA compliant.

Presented by Brad Andres, National Coordinator, U.S. Shorebird Conservation Partnership, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
