Denver Urban Christmas Count: Buckley SFB

PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 3 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below. This trip is only available to those with a base pass.

Audubon's 123rd Christmas Bird Count is a holiday tradition – everyone welcome: beginners, intermediate, and advanced. The more eyes we have, the more birds we see. In partnership with National Audubon, Denver Audubon supports the bird count within the Denver Urban circle on Sunday, January 1, 2032.

We will traverse open areas on BSFB via vehicle and foot as well as an open space area north of the base that will be mainly on foot. This trip is limited to a maximum of 4 people to include the leader, and a pick-up point off-base will need to be arranged where the BSFB representative will pick up the birders and escort all on base in one government vehicle due to security requirements. Note that this field trip is not accessible for those with mobility challenges.
