Join Master Birder Dina Baker for a fun spring morning birding trip to Sterne Park. This little, unassuming park is a hidden gem for birds and birders nestled in downtown Littleton. We will explore the areas around the park’s pond and creeks to view songbirds, various waterfowl, and the occasional raptor. Snowy Egrets, mergansers, and Cooper’s Hawks have all been spotted here in spring, in addition to being a great spot to view Wood Ducks.
Our trip will be 2 hours long on mostly paved, smooth surfaces. Due to the small size of the park, we won’t be covering much ground during our visit.
Meeting Location: Sterne Park, 5800 S. Spotswood St., Littleton, CO 80120.
