Event Details

This early spring trip will be along the Fountain Valley trail (2.4 mi), which has a mild change in elevation and a partially graveled terrain. We will see year-round residents such as the Spotted Towhee and various jays, nuthatches, chickadees, and finches. We may spot a Golden Eagle or Prairie Falcon, as they breed in the park, or perhaps a Say’s Phoebe, Canyon Wren, or bluebirds. The first summer migrants may be arriving as well, such as White-throated Swifts, swallows, and warblers.

Meet at the Visitor's Center. An entry fee or pass to the park is required.

Meeting Location: Roxborough State Park Visitor's Center, 4751 E. Roxborough Dr., Littleton, CO 80125.
