Join us at the Denver Audubon Kingery Nature Center for an after-dark exploration of Colorado's native amphibians, including a search for the nocturnal Tiger Salamander as they emerge from their winter brumation. Learn about amphibian metamorphosis and the incredible adaptations that allow these aquatic animals to live in the cold, dry environment of the Rocky Mountains. We will begin the evening with a kid-friendly demonstration of Colorado's native (and non-native) amphibian species, including live animal demonstrations. Then we'll hit the trail to experience the nocturnal wildlife of the riparian habitat. This is a family-friendly experience for all explorers age 5 years and up!
