Writing and drawing are an integral part of science! We’ll take a historic look at the different ways scientists and explorers have observed and recorded nature. Then, using our collection of plant and animal specimens and mounts, start or continue in your own nature journal. Gain some tips and tricks for creating a nature field journal; choosing a subject, what to record, drawing tips, and more. Students should have writing and drawing skills and should bring a journal or sketchbook and a pen or pencil. Journals will be available for purchase at the program.

Registration Required: Cost: $7 per member student, $9 per non-member student (1 adult complimentary per 2 children)
