    • PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 30 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

Technology is the naturalist’s best friend. Learn how researchers are using artificial intelligence (AI) to revolutionize community science, and how you can use these tools to locate, identify, and record your findings. We’ll walk you through a detailed tutorial on two AI-powered community science apps, iNaturalist and Merlin Bird ID. We will finish class with an exploration of the Nature enter as an opportunity to try out new tools. Please bring a smartphone or tablet with a camera.

The suggested age for this program is 5 and up.

    • COVID Guidelines: We will follow the current guidelines for the county where the program takes place.
