PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 40 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

Writing and drawing are an integral part of science! We’ll take a historic look at the different ways scientists and explorers have observed and recorded nature. Then, using our collection of plant and animal specimens and mounts, start or continue in your own nature journal. Gain some tips and tricks for creating a nature field journal; choosing a subject, what to record, drawing tips, and more. Participants will need a journal or sketchbook and a pen or pencil. Journals will be available for purchase at the program. Taught By Dina Bake from The Nature Link.

This event is suitable for children and is fully accessible for people with accessibility issues.
