Event Details

For Young Birders and their families, join Master Birders Angela and Sarah in search of winter residents along Bear Creek Greenbelt. We will continue to work on identification skills and be on the lookout for various ducks, some hardy sparrows, the talkative corvids, pecking woodpeckers, rattling kingfishers, and hopefully a raptor or two. Come prepared with binoculars, water, snacks, sun protection, warm clothing layers, and wear boots (in case of snow, mud, or extra cold). We will travel along the flat Greenbelt along the river approximately 2.5 miles or up to 3.5 miles per the group's interest (the area between Kipling Street and Wadsworth Blvd). More details to come for registered participants a few days before the day of the trip.

Trip Leaders: Angela Trnka and Sarah Leavesley.

Meeting Place: Bear Creek Greenbelt Park: The Stone House, 2900 S Estes St, Lakewood, CO 80227.
