Please join us as we present the 2023 Lois Webster Fund Colorado non-game wildlife research projects, with presentations by the respective project leaders. The evening will commense at Table Public House. Guests will have a chance to mingle before and after the presentations. Each project presentation will be followed by opportunities for questions and answers. It is estimated the evening’s program to run about two hours. Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided. Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase. For those who can't join us in person, we will also be offering this presentation via ZOOM.
The projects presentations will be:
- Population Assessment of Nesting Burrowing Owls in Eastern Colorado (Sarah Albright, Colorado State University)
- Post Fire Avian Population Trends in Pinyon-Juniper Ecosystems (Rachel Crafford, Western CU)
- Tabor Lake Bird Study (Susan Bennett, City of Wheat Ridge)
- Mexican Spotted Owl Monitoring in Weiminuche Wilderness (Beverley Compton, Weminuche Audubon Society)
- Jackson Lake Pollinator Project (Anthony Ibarra, Jackson Lake State Park)

Denver Audubon is proud to present the Soaring Soirée!
The Soaring Soirée (formerly known as the Spring Benefit) is our largest, annual fundraiser of the year. It is an opportunity for us to recognize Denver Audubon’s accomplishments made possible by our generous donors and patrons, as well as help raise funds to support Denver Audubon’s work. The Soaring Soirée will feature cocktail hour, dinner, and an amazing night of celebration.
The online auction will be open from June 6-June13, so make sure to get your bids in. Anyone can participate in the auction.
Tickets: All tickets include appetizers, dinner and 2 drink tickets.
- Early Birds: Tickets are priced at $115/person from now through April 30.
- Starting May 1st, ticket prices increase.
Tables:
- Tables are reserved for groups of 8.
- We encourage you to reserve your tickets this way if you have a group you'd like to share a table with at the event.
- From now through April 30th, tables are priced at $920 and include 8 seats.
- Starting May 1st, table pricing increases
- When you purchase a table, you will be asked to enter 8 names, cell phones numbers, and email addresses of attendees

Birds & Blooms Native Plant Garden Fest

Join Denver Audubon for a Birds and Blooms Native Plant Garden Fest, an event that will showcase innovative ways to attract birds to your backyard by utilizing various food sources offered by native plants. Take a leisurely stroll through our beautiful native plant gardens and discover the intricate diets of wild birds and how native plants can help create a diverse ecosystem right in your own backyard. Engage in informative conversations with Audubon staff and volunteers about the advantages of bird houses and bird baths. Additionally, gain insights into the xeric and native plants displayed in our demonstration gardens at our Nature Center, and receive valuable tips on selecting native plants that are suitable for your home landscape. Learn how to live a more bird-friendly lifestyle and make a positive impact on the environment. Native plants and wildlflower seeds will be available for purchase at the event from the Colorado Native Plant Nursery and educational partners include Colorado Native Plant Society and Colorado State University Extension Office. This event is generously sponsored by Centennial Water & Sanitation District.
Event runs from 9 am to 1 pm. All ticket proceeds will benefit the Denver Audubon Kingery Nature Center.
